Interview with Dr. Daniel Conway

Advanced Practices Council (APC) Director Madeline Weiss will interview Professor Daniel Conway, Associate Director of the Blockchain Center of Excellence at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Conway presented his latest research on blockchain at the January 2020 APC meeting: strategic considerations in leveraging blockchain technology. Dr. Conway was the first professor in residence at Cisco Systems and brings decades of experience to his blockchain research.

During this interview, Dr. Conway will describe the Internet of Value and why blockchain is its foundation. He will discuss where blockchain is being leveraged, who holds the key patents, and why those are important considerations. He will share examples of leveraging blockchain for organizational efficiencies and effectiveness as well as for disintermediating industries. And he will describe what it takes, beyond the software, to reap organizational value from blockchains.
