Virtual Roundtable 18: Rethinking of the workplace in the age of AI

The next SIM San Diego RoundTable event (#18) will take place on Thursday, August 15th from noon to 1pm as we tackle some key topics regarding the impact of AI in the workplace, the rethinking of the workplace as AI matures as well as how CIOs need to embrace this in our brave new world. This session promises to be captivating as we delve into how the workplace is changing and will continue to be transformed by AI in the future.

We are very fortunate to have Jon Wolheim join us as our subject matter export (SME). Jon is a professional speaker and Vice President of People and Culture for the non-profit Games for Love, where they replace pain with play by placing video games in children's hospitals. Through his speaking engagements, live workshop experiences, and executive coaching, Jon helps organizations rewire their workplace culture and philosophy on AI. Jon is excited to bring his background with Stanford, MIT, and USC, his experience taking SoundHound AI public, and his time leading some of the largest teams at Apple and Amazon to you as we explore a new era of unprecedented opportunity together.

SIM San Diego members can invite one of their direct reports to explore these topics further. However, if you would like to have one of your direct reports attend, you will need to ensure that you sign them up for this session.

Please join us by signing up below, you will be very happy you did!

Testimonials

“… I stood as the Vice-President for the [CSUSM]MIS Society last Fall. The opportunities presented by SIM [San Diego] … played a prodigious part in my professional success… I was reviewing my notes from the 2019 [SIM] San Diego Technology Executive Leadership Summit and found information that related directly to a business problem I was trying to solve in the AI field. It helped me identify crucial gaps to the organizations continued success and ultimately reach breakeven. I can confidently say the exposure and knowledge I gained from SIM San Diego prepared me to be the effective, resilient leader I am today. I applaud your dedication to raising the next generation of IT leaders… Thank you, I cannot emphasize enough how much of an impact you have had on my professional development. As a leader, I am continuously learning and growing. I am excited to see what is in store for the future of the [CSUSM] MIS Society and SIM San Diego as a whole… ”

Sponsor Testimonials

“The San Diego Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) is an elite collection of top technology executives, who all are dedicated to improving the community in which they serve. While most CIOs and CISOs are difficult to reach amidst their organizational responsibilities, every leader present at these events is engaged and willing to learn from one another. The speaker quality and topics are relevant to forward-thinking information executives. I’m proud to support this chapter, and intend to maintain these connections fostered at their quarterly events”

Michael Bush | Field Director | Darktrace

"As a recent sponsor of a SIM San Diego's event, not only did I experience the caliber of it's membership, but the collaboration, intellectual curiosity and generosity of the organization. Facing 2020 challenges of virtual-only meetings, the SIM board used their creativity to put together an engaging, relevant program for senior technology executives. Their commitment to supporting each other and the surrounding community make this an organization that I aspire to be a part of for years to come."
