Results of the 2017 SIM Chapter Leaders of the Year Award
The SIM Leader of the Year Award recognizes members who contributed to the growth, advancement, and excellence of SIM at the chapter level. This year, three recipients were chosen by a panel of four judges and were formally recognized at SIM Connect Live in Dallas.

We are grateful to all 12 nominees who individually and collectively exemplify a commitment to building their local communities and living SIM’s brand “where IT leaders connect.  We also want to thank the four judges representing a cross section of the country: Bob Rouse, St. Louis; Pradeep Kumar, Portland; Pat Randall, Boston; and Helen Norris, Southern California. (Judges did not score a candidate from their home chapter).

Given the number and the strength of the nominees, the judges felt it especially difficult to choose the award recipients, but in a carefully governed and objective scoring process, three finalists stood out. This year’s SIM Chapter Leaders of the Year are:

  • Kevin Kraft, Minesota
  • Joe Puglisi, Fairfield/Westchester
  • Dan Roberts, Tampa Bay

Congratulations to the 2017 SIM Chapter Leaders of the Year!

RLF Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Core SIM Program Has Been Building Leaders’ Capabilities Since 1993
During the April 12-13 SIM Connect Live in Dallas, RLF launched a 25th anniversary celebration recognizing the program’s longevity and its successful offering to nearly 5,000 graduates over the past 25 years.

Founded in 1993 with a pilot program in Chicago, RLF has grown to a prominent national program located in 8-10 major cities across the U.S.  In 2018, RLF is being offered in Baltimore, Chicago, Hartford CT, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland OR, Seattle and St. Petersburg FL.

Darwin John, one of RLF’s longtime leaders, recalls the impact of the program from its early years to today.  “As we were introduced to the concept of RLF, it just resonated with us that it was right and true,” says John.  “It is not a class, it is not a series of seminars.  It is something much larger than that.”
