Philanthropy

FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF IT LEADERS AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH

SIM Portland believes that helping to develop the next generation of IT leaders is critical to our collective future success. In support of this vision, SIM Portland's philanthropy program primarily focuses on developing aspiring Information Technology professionals in undergraduate programs in local institutions. This support is through our annual scholarship awards to the related programs at the following institutions.

• Oregon State University (OSU)
• University of Portland (UP)
• Washington State University (WSU)– Vancouver
• Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT)

In collaboration with students in these institutions, SIM Portland also runs a STEM outreach program focusing on Middle and High school students.  To date, we have reached over 14,000 students in local schools.

Since the inception of this program in 2003, SIM Portland has awarded over $750,000 in Scholarship awards.
