The presentation will cover
results of a Seattle-based survey on IT professionals current uses of social
media for work-related purposes and findings from interviews with local senior
IT leaders. The leadership challenges resulting from social media adoption and
use will be discussed.
Eva L. Philpot:
Eva is the owner and CEO of Eastside Consulting and Coaching in Renton, WA. She
has twenty years international management and leadership experience from IT,
consulting, and nonprofit organizations. Her current professional interests include
organizational social media adoption and use, adapting leadership practices to
millennial employees, and cross-cultural project leadership. Eva is a certified
business professional coach and is currently completing her PhD in
Organizational Leadership and Management. The title of her doctoral
dissertation is "Adoption and use of social media among IT professionals and
implications for leadership.”
