Leading IT Transformation
IT transformation is a complete overhaul of an organization's information technology (IT) systems. IT transformation can involve changes to network architecture, hardware, software and how data is stored and accessed. Advanced Analytics, Digital, Mobile, AI and the consumerization of technology has made IT more front and center than ever and critical to just about any company's success.
As a result, many CIO’s are being asked to transform IT to lower cost (in many cases for reinvestment in IT), increase throughput and drive innovation. Whether you are planning, are currently in process, or have recently completed an IT Transformation you won’t want to miss our next CIO Roundtable where Jim Knight, recent Global CIO of Chubb Insurance Company, will share his story regarding how he and his team successfully transformed IT at Chubb.
As the former Global CIO Jim provided vision and leadership to maximize the usage of information technology to create and maintain leadership for the Chubb Corporation worldwide. Jim is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and he served on the boards of the Society of Information Management – International and the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development (ACORD) and the Somerset County YMCA.
Jim brings over 36 years of experience in the delivery and management of information technology primarily in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. Prior to Chubb Jim has worked at Utica National Insurance Company, Home Insurance Company and Merck-Medco.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Utica College and a Master of MIS from Kennedy-Western University. He is currently working as an executive IT management consultant at Johnson and Johnson.
