SIM Boston Practitioners Roundtable
October 22, 2015
Greetings Boston SIM Members,
Topic: Big Data – Enterprise Use Cases
Sean Smith from EMC will facilitate a discussion entitled “Big Data – Enterprise Use Cases.” While there is a lot of buzz about this many organizations haven’t figured how to take advantage of this relatively new technology. In fact, some are trying to solve problems in the old way or using tools that they already use. These firms are missing on something big!
So what is Big Data? How can Enterprises get started leveraging this technology? What are the typical use cases? How have other organizations used the technology? In this session you’ll have the opportunity to learn from each other as well as draw on Sean’s expertise. Bring your questions, your successes, and your challenges.
As a part of EMC's Global Services, Sean enables business acceleration through the use of new-age technological solutions and maintains a direct 'trusted advisor' relationship with clients. He functions as the bridge between sales and delivery and ensures a properly defined solution is implemented. Sean has over a decade of experience in both the public and private sector organizations ranging from custom enterprise content management and data driven processing systems to sensitive criminal information systems. Sean has a science degree from the University of New England and has studied as a graduate student at Harvard University.
