Getting the right information in the right context to the right decision maker is not easy in any enterprise. Doing Business Intelligence the right way takes real skill and cooperation between operations, finance, senior management, and IT. When it’s done right, key information is captured from many different databases and systems, validated by operational personnel, and then presented concisely and clearly to the decision makers in the organization. Making that happen well takes planning, know-how, and technical expertise that is rare.
Join SIM for two presentations this month. Mr. Scott Opitz, a thought-leader in the field of applying technology to business intelligence needs will describe the role of the IT department in Business Intelligence, and he will identify the significant challenges in developing an approach to Business Intelligence. Ms. Ivy Ho, a leader in the delivery of complex IT solutions will describe a successful enterprise BI solution that leverages unstructured data.
This meeting will be very helpful to those who want to make their organization’s data work for them.
Mr. Scott Opitz is president of AltoSoft and the developer or InsightManager, a Business Intelligence application. He has been a leader applying technology solutions to business intelligence problems, automating monitoring, and specializing in uncovering key performance indicators that relate directly to the strategic goals of the organization.
