Speaker: Karl Gouverneur (pronounced "Governor"), Chief Architect Northwestern Mutual
Karl Gouverneur is currently Vice President and CTO at Northwestern Mutual. He is responsible for setting Northwestern Mutual’s IT direction, strategy and standards while delivering efficiency and flexibility for business processes for all lines of business.
Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Mr. Gouverneur held CTO positions at both at Safeco Insurance and CNA Insurance. Before joining CNA, Mr. Gouverneur founded an ERP systems integration firm, which advanced from a startup operation to an enterprise with sales of $100 million, offices worldwide, an offshore operation and over 200 clients.
Early in his career, he was a consultant for Ernst and Young’s systems integration practice where he was assigned to several Fortune 500 clients focusing on application development, enterprise architecture and infrastructure management.
Mr. Gouverneur is a graduate of the University of Florida, and holds a B.S. degree in business administration and computer science.
