Jobs in IT are Back!
IT employment is at a record high. US companies are investing in IT, including tech payrolls, in order to grow their businesses. Now is the time to prepare for another boom in the area of IT, but with a new opportunity for job seekers with business skills.
The focus is no longer solely on programming skills. Business and project management skills are becoming more and more important for the IT jobs of the future. According to a recent study released by the Society for Information Management (SIM) only two of the top 10 skills needed are technical; the others are in the area of project management and business skills.
Future Potential in IT is a program supported by the Society for Information Management to educate students and schools on the facts surrounding the IT job market. There is an increasing demand for qualified IT workers in the US and not enough skilled workers to meet the demand of the IT job marketplace.
