2012 Leadership Workshop: "Leading to Smart Execution"
September 19-21, 2012

 

This session is the eighth in a series of annual workshops hosted by SIM St. Louis. It will build on past workshops as well as recent events such as the Gateway to Innovation. The workshop will be a "deep dive" into leadership perspectives and will deliver practical advice from business and thought leaders on leadership style.

  • World class facilitation provided by a nationally recognized IT leader and facilitator
  • Presentations and panel discussions featuring prominent IT industry leaders
  • Breakouts and exercises focusing on leadership development and personal growth
  • Rich networking opportunities with Workshop presenters and participants includes event with Anthony Reed. Anthony is the author of "Running to Leadership: When Finishing 100+ Marathons on All Seven Continents Teaches Us About Success."
  • A powerful refresher for graduates of SIM's RLF and TDG's LLF programs - connects you to the local SIM chapter
  • Attendees will actively participate in discussions, personal insight and professional growth exercises
  • Attendee participation is enhanced through the reading of "Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done " by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan (provided), and by submitting a short personal biography which will be shared with all participants and presenters.

This year's workshop facilitator is Edie VanWert.

2011 Leadership Workshop: "Leading with Style”
August 8-10, 2011

 

This session is the seventh in a series of annual workshops hosted by SIM St. Louis. It will build on past workshops as well as recent events such as the Gateway to Innovation. The workshop will be a "deep dive" into leadership perspectives and will deliver practical advice from business and thought leaders on leadership style.

  • World class facilitation provided by a nationally recognized IT leader and facilitator

This year's workshop facilitator is Bart Bolton. With more than 35 years experience in IT management, Bart's experience includes leading and managing multiple IT departments, consulting, educating, marketing, and selling to the IT function. He has been facilitating the RLF since 1994 and the Leadership Development Roundtable (LDR) since 2001.

The workshop will be a "deep dive" into leadership perspectives and will deliver practical advice from business and thought leaders on The Future of Leadership.

This year's workshop facilitator is Bob Rouse. Bob is Professor Emeritus, Computer Science, at Washington University, founder of the St. Louis SIM Chapter and a Past President. He is a nationally recognized speaker and facilitator and is also the National Director of the SIM Regional Leadership Forum program upon which this program is based. For 15 years Bob has facilitated RLFs in the Midwest, Northeast and New York.He has also led mini-forums at Chubb International and Monsanto. In his time at Wash U, Bob held many leadership positions including IT Strategy Director for the School of Medicine, Automation Lead for the Development Office, Assistant Dean and Director of the Center for Intelligent Computing Systems. We are delighted to have Bob's guiding presence for this session.
