SIM Launches New National Cybersecurity Special Interest Group
Strategic Thought Leadership Platform Focused On Cybersecurity Issues, Trends, and Best Practices

Designed for senior business, IT, and technology security executives, the vision for SIM’s new Cybersecurity SIG is compelling:to promote and provide strategic, timely, actionable, and business-focused content and discussion around cybersecurity issues, trends, and best practices, while building and sustaining a high-value network of cybersecurity thought leaders.

The Cybersecurity SIG is being led by Caren Shiozaki, Chief Information Officer for TMST, Inc. and Vice Chair of SIM’s National Board, who validated the idea with SIM leaders at April’s Chapter Leader Summit.

“Rather than centering content on the “nuts and bolts” of cybersecurity practices, this SIG will maintain a focus on cybersecurity at the strategic thought leadership level,” said Caren."While there are other groups operating in this space, most of them require membership or subscription at additional cost.We are dedicated to providing access to cybersecurity information assets and networks as part of the SIM membership, with no additional outlay of funds required."
