SIM Philadelphia and SIM Women are partnering on a The SIM Breakfast "Board Bound!”
The focus of the breakfast will include ideas and encouragement on how to be deliberate in obtaining board positions. We have assembled a panel of new faces and fresh perspectives to discuss their efforts and board experiences, as well as, a search professional and executive coach to discuss the value board experience brings to an executive career. While it’s always wonderful to gather together and network, this is also an opportunity to learn from each other. We’ll learn the differences between corporate and non-profit experience, as well as paid and unpaid board roles, and how to gain notice from the board community. In addition we’ll have tips and "ground floor” tactical approaches for those who are working their way up the executive ladder; it’s never too early to begin laying the groundwork for that board position!
