Speaker: Ray McKenzie

Enterprise Architect and formerly Vice President of Management Consulting for Fujitsu Consulting. Supports large organizations focusing on strategic planning, enterprise architecture, process, and value management. Believes that the fundamentals of corporate success center on three distinctive capabilities: innovation, relationships and reputation. Shared experience and insight with customers of Fujitsu Consulting for the past twenty years. Prior to this, a Director within the IT function of ESSO (EXXON) in Canada - specialized in the deployment of technologies supporting real-time process control environments. Author of the book The Relationship-Based Enterprise. Published articles on topics that include customer relationships, outsourcing, innovative business models, and portfolio management. Traveled and worked in cities throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia and Western Europe. Regularly delivers key-note addresses and lectures at major business forums and business schools.

Ray will draw on his extensive work in Enterprise Strategy, Systems Architecture and excerpts from his forthcoming book on Enterprise Architecture (EA).

The focus will be on the perception and capabilities of CIOs and the possible changes in the CIO agenda that EA presents.

Participants will be provided with a compendium of research, challenges and inferences from Chapter 7 of his book on EA. The first half of the meeting will be a quick overview of the topic followed by breakout sessions on the three focus areas.

Input from participants will be organized and sent out to members for comment and if interest warrants, we will schedule a meeting to review the feedback and ideas gained from this forum.
