2013 Trade Association Sponsor
Who We Are
The Arizona Technology Council is a non-profit trade association founded to connect, represent and support the state's expanding technology industry. To promote economic growth and professional development in Arizona's technology sector, the Council provides members networking opportunities, business support and access to educational forums. The Council strives to distinguish Arizona as a leader in the technology community and offer resources that are exclusive to its members.
The Council was established in 2002 after the Arizona High Tech Industry Cluster (HTIC) merged with the Arizona Software & Industry Association (AZSoft.net).
With almost 500 member companies across the state, the Council is Arizona's largest technology organization. Members of the Council include technology companies, service providers, government agencies, non-profit organizations and academic institutions.
Led by Chairman Dr. Michael Berens, director, Cancer & Cell Biology Division, TGen, the Council is governed by a 42-person Board of Directors. Steven Zylstra serves as president and CEO and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Council.
The Council produces two monthly electronic newsletters, TechTalk and TechEvents, which provide up-to-date news of what's happening in the tech-community. TechConnect, a quarterly publication and Arizona's only magazine of Science and Technology, explores the region's latest trends, entrepreneurs and issues affecting the growth of technology.
