The Society for Information Management (SIM) is a very special and eclectic community of senior IT executives, prominent academicians, selected consultants and other IT thought leaders. It is a non-profit organization with over 35 chapters in the United States and Canada. It distinguishes itself through its extensive knowledge generation and dissemination programs. In addition, it offers leadership training, networking, philanthropic, and advocacy opportunities. SIM was recognized by the Fortune magazine as the field’s top professional group.

A key value proposition of the SIM Toronto Chapter is the thought provoking and intellectually stimulating discussions at the quarterly meetings. In a cordial and plush setting at the Toronto National Club, a select group of senior IS practitioners and thought leaders share ideas and practices on important IS issues. The interaction formats range from the traditional single speaker presentations to the more innovative debates and audience-as-the-panel session.

New for 2016:

Bi-monthly Chapter Social evenings, a chance for members and their guests to socialize in a casual environment (venue TBD).

Our Vision . . .

To be the preferred professional association for aspiring IT/IS senior leaders and the favoured locale for providing mentorship by seasoned CIO's.

Our Mission . . .

To bring together both experienced and aspiring technology leaders in an environment where they can develop or share their business and personal skills, through networking, mentoring others and offering their leadership experience with the broader IT community and our society as a whole.

SIM Toronto sees an ongoing and growing need for aspiring senior IT leaders to have a place to enhance their career potential by engaging their peers and growing their capabilities while learning the best practices for bringing the value of technology to business and society.
