Next Chapter Event

Join the Society for Information Management (SIM) Toronto Chapter, for a lively and interactive round-table discussion with Eric Whaley and Scott Wu on their experiences in transforming legacy environments to promote and lead innovation in their respective organizations.

Whether it is called a business disruption,  a digital transformation, a new mobile strategy or just a reorganization --all technical leaders face the need to imagine, promote and deliver innovations at an unparalleled pace.

Come and participate in our discussion as Eric shares his experiences in guiding, motivating and orchestrating transformations and balancing innovation in his roles as the CIO at Wolseley and as the technology leader for firms in the financial sector.

Similarly, Scott will outline the impacts of the digital revolution on the world of work that he is addressing as the VP of Technology for Compass Digital Labs (CDL).  As a business oriented engineer who has been at the forefront of technology, he will offer lessons he has acquired in start-ups and as a key leader for innovation with a multi-billion dollar company.

With Eric’s & Scott’s leadership, we expect a fulsome discussion on:

  • The importance of culture and how it can be addressed by tech leaders
  • How customers, disruptions and business growth can be managed
  •  Integration challenges, opportunities and benefits related to innovation
  • The importance of soft-skills in developing teams and individuals that can share the passion and be inspired to move forward and achieve high performance results.

We encourage all members to attend with their C-level, senior colleagues and direct reports.
