SIM Women is a network inside the SIM association that promotes mentorship, communication and career development amongst the female members of SIM.

It is a pleasure to invite you to SIM Women’s April webinar “5 Ridiculous Objections Women Still Face” on Wednesday, April 26th at 3pm ET. Those who RSVP that they can attend will receive the webinar access information a day prior to the event.

"How do you feel leading a team made up mostly of men?”

How many times have women been asked this ridiculous question over the years? Maybe you’ve even heard it yourself.

It’s just one of the objections women who aspire to positions of leadership must overcome in order to climb up the corporate ladder.  And it’s not the only one.

Being a successful woman in 2017 is easier than it once was, but women still have to navigate their way through a lot of objections men never face.

During the interview process when a man talks about children, it’s a compliment on the fact he’s a great family guy!  If a woman mentions family, companies question her priorities. And how you frame the discussion can make the difference to whether you get the job or not.

It can be frustrating, but there are ways to address these issues in your company without seeming “reactionary” or “aggressive”.

Join us on April 26th at 3pm ET when Kimi Hirotsu Ziemski from KSP Partnership, Inc. presents a one hour webinar ahead of the SIM Women Leadership Summit to discuss the “5 Ridiculous Objections Women Still Face.”

Working in fields dominated by men, Kimi’s heard all the objections and has learned how to deal with them in the moment, as well as the steps women need to take to change the internal cultures of their organizations.

Kimi is participating on the Breaking Boundaries: Removing Obstacles to Leadership panel at the SIM Women Leadership Summit, and has experience managing smooth software implementations and rescuing projects in trouble. She and her fellow panelists will dive deeper into the diverse nature of the objections but more importantly, some of the ways they have successfully overcome those objections.

This webinar is a great primer for the Summit and I encourage you to take this opportunity get to know Kimi ahead of the program.
