Erik Rasmussen is the Cyber Practice Leader for Kroll’s Cyber Security and Investigations practice, based in the Los Angeles, California office. As a former Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service, Erik brings an exceptional combination of legal, federal law enforcement, and corporate experience to the current challenges faced by clients.
Timothy Wallach is an FBI Supervisory Special Agent who leads the Cyber Task Force in the Seattle Field Office of the FBI. In this capacity he manages and oversees the FBI’s Cyber Crime program in the State of Washington. In addition to his responsibilities of leading the
Cyber Task Force, in 2014 Mr. Wallach was one of the principal architects of the FBI’s Cyber-National Security investigative model and served as its national Program Manager. Prior to his assignment in Seattle, Mr. Wallach was the FBI’s Legal Attaché in The Hague where he was responsible for all FBI matters in the Netherlands.
Vanessa Pegueros is currently VP and CISO for DocuSign helping to lead the company in providing an industry leading security program to its customers. Vanessa formerly worked with US Bank as the Senior VP responsible for Enterprise Information Security and a team of over 120 people. She also was the CISO at Expedia and has held senior level security roles with Washington Mutual, Cingular and AT&T Wireless. She has an MBA from Stanford University, a MS in Telecommunication from the University of Colorado, and a BS in Engineering from UC Berkeley. She holds GSEC, CRISC, CISM and CISSP security certifications. Additionally, she holds the CIPP/E Privacy certification.
Jake Bernstein is an attorney at Newman Du Wors. Jake represents companies subject to inquiries, investigations, and actions brought by regulatory agencies, such as state attorneys general and the Federal Trade Commission. He also advises businesses about advertising, marketing, regulatory compliance, privacy, and cybersecurity. Jake has significant experience with laws regulating the collection, storage, and use of private consumer data. Before joining Newman Du Wors, Jake served eight years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office.
