The Boston area is now home to the largest super-cluster of Life Sciences firms in the U.S. As such, our region is rapidly becoming the worldwide hub for Research and Development in the Life Sciences field. SIM Boston (www.simboston.org), the professional association for senior IT executives, has responded to a request from our CIO members in this market to provide a forum for IT Leaders to come together to network and to discuss best practices and innovative ideas with their peers.
Patterned after Boston SIM’s highly successful CIO Roundtables, the Life Sciences Roundtable will provide you with the opportunity to participate in a facilitated discussion around challenges and solutions, and to share best practices with your peers in a relaxed, confidential, “Vegas rules” environment.
This event will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
The agenda calls for registration and networking starting at 3:00 pm with the program to follow and to conclude at 5:00pm followed by a networking dinner.
The meeting will take place at FORUM Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 225 Second Avenue, Waltham, MA. Dinner will follow, at Il Capriccio Ristorante, 888 Main Street, Waltham, MA.
Our Guest Speaker will be Dr. Paul Aldridge, current CIO of Genomic Health, Inc., and previous VP of Global IT for Biogen Idec. Paul will be presenting some recent findings on the legal and financial ramifications of BYOD programs, which is a very timely topic for all CIO’s. Paul’s presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion to hear what our attendees are doing with BYOD programs, then Dinner (which is included in the cost).
Please note: this is an exclusive event for qualified individuals only and that current membership in SIM Boston is not required for attendance. We would appreciate your assistance in identifying other Life Sciences CIOs you may know who you feel would benefit from and be interested in participating. Please feel free to forward this invitation to IT executives you know who meet the attendance criteria (CIO/Sr. IT Executive) and ask them to RSVP by Friday, July 24th. The cost to attend is $75.00 members/$85.00 non-members (both members and non-members must be CIO or CIO-equivalent within their respective organization).
If you have any questions, please contact Joe McGrath at email@example.com or Jo Hoppe at firstname.lastname@example.org, Co-Facilitators, Life Sciences CIO Roundtable, SIM Boston.
