Invitation to attend the next Boston SIM CIO Roundtable, December 3rd. 2014 at
The Lynn Community Health Center.
The focus of the meeting will be Cyber Security
“Financial Planning and Cyber Security - Real Risk Management” and
“Anatomy of a Breech - The Lies my CIO Told Me”
We are building our lives around our wired and wireless networks. Are we ready to do what it takes to
defend this highly connected environment? Even though the NSA and FBI are leading national efforts to
manage high-tech crimes, including cyber-based terrorism, espionage, computer intrusions, and major
cyber fraud, are we doing what we need to do to protect our lives and businesses, or have we fallen into
complacency due to lack of understating the risks, or a lack of relevant actions plans .
As heads of IT, we all need to be diligent and stay in front of current and emerging trends. Part of the
problem is understanding the scope, and defining a manageable and a realistic approach to security. The
CIO Round Table in December will present an opportunity for us to review, understand, and prioritize
threats and recommend actions for our organizations to take to realize practical solutions. The
presentations and related discussions will focus on risks, costs and approach. Further by discussing the
aspects of a breech, we can see ways to rationalize a practical approach to security, AlainMarcus and

December 3rd for a truly informative and collaborative CIO RT session.
