“What Really Happens to Companies that are Victimized by Cyber Incidents?”

"SIM NY Continuing the focus on the topic of Security”

PRESENTED BY:  Edward Stroz, Executive Chairman, Stroz Friedberg

Event Abstract:
We all read about cyber incidents in the press, but what is the experience really like for the victimized companies?  Whether the incident is a data breach, a denial-of-service attack, an extortion, a theft of trade secrets, or being used as relay point to attack another company, there are always lessons learned.  Stroz Friedberg has experience with dozens of these types of incidents, including those that are in the press currently.  In this presentation, we will discuss the how cyber incidents are affected by technical, legal, and psychological considerations, and what the implications are for corporate governance in the area of cyber security.
