What Every IT Leader Needs to Know About Cyber Security

SIM St Louis proudly presents Dave Chronister, Certified Ethical Hacker and founder of Parameter Security delivering a program on cyber security.

Trojans - The Forgotten Enemy

Today, as companies drive towards innovation, putting new customer facing applications out into the marketplace, it makes us more vulnerable to cyber-security threats than ever.

Locally, we've seen a well-known and respected local grocer impacted by a cyber-security attack.  And on a broader scale, a massive global retailer was targeted over this holiday season with more impacted retailers coming to light.

Though the term Trojan is well-known, many in the IT community know very little about them, yet they are a key element in a hacker's repertoire.

As a Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator, Dave has extensive experience not only using Trojans and evading capture, but also in tracking down and neutralizing these threats.

In this enlightening and invaluable discussion, Dave will demonstrate using real world examples:

  • The methods hackers are using today to infilitrate organizations
  • The capabilities of a Trojan
  • The evasion techniques of hackers
  • What detection techniques and steps we can take to improve security and reduce risks to our environment

An evening spent discussing one of the most critical business challenges facing every organization today.  One not to miss!!
