A program for senior IT leadership containing a series of workshops to increase your market value and expand your network.

The SIM Capital Area Chapter is pleased to present the second in a series of four events senior IT leadership that is directed at containing increasing your market value and expanding your network.

This event will focus on how CIOs and IT Leaders can apply digital business strategies to increase organizational value.

Our speaker is Sunil Mithas. He is an associate professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in the Decision, Operations and Information Technologies Department. He is the author of the book Digital Intelligence: What Every Smart Manager Must Have for Success in an Information Age. He earned his PhD at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Before pursuing his PhD, he worked for about ten years in engineering, marketing, and general management positions with the Tata Group.

He was identified as a 2011 MSI Young Scholar by the Marketing Science Institute, which selects about 20 of "the most promising ‘younger’ academics” every two years.

Sunil’s research focuses on strategic management and the impact of information technology resources. His research has appeared in premier journals, including Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, and Production and Operations Management. Some of this work has been featured in business publications such as Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Bloomberg, CIO.com, Computerworld, and InformationWeek. His papers have won the best-paper award and best-paper nominations.
