For the second year in a row, Gartner has included Big Data in their annual list of top 10 strategic technology trends. IT awareness of Big Data and its strategic importance have risen steeply over the past year, but what exactly is Big Data and how does it impact IT organizations? Join us for a no-nonsense session as we attempt to define Big Data, discuss trends in large-scale data collection, and the coming Big Data tsunami. We'll also discuss which organizations should worry about Big Data today and profile some companies who are successfully handling Big Data today. Lastly we will talk about the business opportunities that Big Data and advanced analytics open up and how IT can take a leadership role in driving these opportunities.

Speaker: Nathan Coutinho
Nathan Coutinho is a Senior Manager in CDW’s Strategy Group. He has more than 18 years of experience in the IT industry with various roles in consulting, engineering, management, marketing, strategy and technical sales. His primary responsibilities include leading strategy and business development projects to achieve short and long-term company initiatives. Other responsibilities including evaluating emerging technologies and educating clients on the trends and directions in the market, with a primary focus on big data, business continuity, cloud, data center convergence and enterprise mobility.
