In the age of electronic payments, your personal information must be kept securely by all parties. This is even more important as newer technologies are used to supplement or replace existing methods of payment. During this presentation, Mike will discuss the current state of data security in the electronic payments industry, as well as how future trends will impact data security in the future.

SIM Atlanta Reports Robust Growth in Membership and Attendance
Dear Members and Friends:
As the 2008-2009 year comes to a close, I am delighted to report some very encouraging numbers on two key performance metrics.
1. The Chapter membership has increased by almost 100% during the past year.
2. Monthly meetings are consistently drawing a full house -- 80% or more of our members are regularly attending Chapter meetings and events.
We take great pride in the thought provoking and intellectually stimulating discussions at our monthly meetings. In a cordial and plush setting, a select group of senior IS practitioners come together to share ideas and practices on important IS issues. The interaction formats range from the traditional single speaker presentation and panel discussions to the more innovative debates and audience-as-the panel session.
I am also pleased to report on the growing popularity of the annual CIO Forum and Executive Summit , our capstone knowledge sharing event of the year. Over a period of two days, through keynote sessions and panels, numerous IT management topics of interest -- data quality, information security, measuring and communicating the business value of IT, deduplication of technologies, and data center management -- were discussed.
The annual SIM Atlanta Technology Exchange and Golf Outing is another significant event that combines knowledge share with fun and charity. The net proceeds go to TechBridge, the non-profit technology service provider.
Hope you will take the time to read our first Annual Report and Newsletter that highlights the many value creation activities and offerings of this non-profit organization. You will also enjoy the following articles contributed by two of our members.
