Please be advised that the application for Philadelphia Chapter Membership is not the same as membership in the International Association. You automatically become part of the International Association when you join the Philadelphia chapter, but you must apply to the Philadelphia chapter and meet our membership criteria to be a member of the chapter specifically.
Annual individual corporate membership/dinner fees are $600. Guest fees are $75.00. Guests at meetings must be accompanied by members. Non-members cannot substitute for members at any program or meeting. Afternoon workshops, however, are free and open to employees of member firms.
To apply for membership, it is advisable first to talk with some of our members. Most new members come in through referrals from existing members.

Prior to submission of their application to the Board of Directors, each applicant is requested to participate in a brief telephone interview with the Membership Committee. The following questions are covered in that interview:
- Review application information about company and organization.
How big is your IT organization? How many people work in the IT organization? Where do you fit into the company matrix? (Reporting structure)
- Referral information.
Who referred you? What is your relationship to the person that referred you? Do you know any of the current members?
- Why do you want to join SIM?
What do you expect from SIM? What can you bring to the organization? What are the top three issues concerning you in IT today?
- Other professional affiliations?
Do you belong to other IT related organizations?
- Are you interested in linking your company’s web site to the SIM web site?
