SIM New York Metro welcomes I.T professionals, individuals, academics, consultants and other leaders in I.T.

Membership Criteria:

  • Professional: A senior-level IT professional in either a public or private sector organization who meets the following criteria:

             Coporate/divisional head of a corporate or divisional IT organization

             Senior member of an IT management staff supporting corporate/divisional IT heads with key            management roles, as certified by the head of the organization

              Academic: a full-time university or college faculty member making a significant conribution to the IT field

  • Consultant: Leaders at the partner/principal level who influence the direction their own company or their clients' companies, and who directly contribute to the IT profession. Membership is restricted to one person per firm or major pratice area.
  • Other leader: A non-IT executive or leader from another profession who plays major role in matters which impact the strategic direction of information technology. Membership is restricted to one person per firm.

 

 

Application Process

  • All interested applicants will be asked to fill out an application form
  • Upon receipt, applications are reviewed by the Membership VP and the SIM NY Metro Chapter to assure qualifications are met
  • The Chapter Board makes the final decision on a candidate's qualification for membership
  • Candidates are noified of the Board's decision
  • If an applicant's level of responsibility is not clear from the information available on the application, and applicant may be contacted for a brief interview. For more information please contact the Membership VP of the SIM NY Metro Chaper
