Arthur Langer, Board Member At-Large & Advisor
Dr. Arthur M. Langer is Chair of Instructor and Curricular Development at Columbia University’s Technology Programs in the School of Continuing Education. He is also a faculty member in the Department of Organization and Leadership at the Graduate School of Education (Teachers College). Art’s activities at Columbia University focus on the design and management of technology programs that provide applied knowledge to professional students. His research involves the study of Information Technology organizations in the workplace, reflective practices, mentoring, distance education, intellectual development, learning transformation theory, higher education and the design of technology-based curricula.
Art is the author of IT and Organizational Learning (2005), Applied Ecommerce (2002), Analysis & Design of Information Systems (2000), and The Art of Analysis (1997) and has published articles and papers relating to IT organizational integration, mentoring and staff development. Art is also chairman of A. Langer & Associates, a New York-based firm that provides information management consulting, education, and software engineering services. He consults with corporations and universities on information technology, staff development, management transformation, and curriculum development in the United States and in Europe.
