Welcome to the website of the Fairfield-Westchester Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM), America's professional association of chief information officers and other senior information technology executives.
In the Fairfield-Westchester chapter, we have more than 150 of your peers -- intelligent, open and willing to share their experiences and ideas with you, so that you too can succeed in your job and your career. Because of this environment and its unique value to senior technology professionals, both SIM and the Fairfield-Westchester chapter are growing rapidly.
In addition to our website, the Fairfield-Westchester chapter provides members these opportunities to meet your peers:
- Our monthly dinner meeting offers exciting speakers worth hearing. For example, we've recently featured the CEO of Dell Computer, the founder of Meta Group, the leading technologist from Gartner, one of Microsoft's senior security folks, and a panel of leading IT executive recruiters.
- Especially for CIOs, we have monthly breakfast meetings, by invitation, in which a relatively small group discusses a particular issue of common interest and learns from each other.
- We co-sponsor the new tri-state CIO Summit that brings together several hundred senior IT executives from the region for a day of interaction with compelling industry leaders. SIM also offers the annual SIMposium, which brings members from all over the country for a few days of seminars, interchanges and just plain fun.
As an organization, we are able to represent the interests and concerns of enterprise information technology to others, including the academic community and the media. Editors and reporters at key industry journals are also increasingly turning to our members for valuable insights into industry trends and challenges.
