Dear Friends, Visitors and Members,
Society for Information Management - just 35 years old - has grown to be the premier professional organization for senior IT leaders. We are international, yet our chapters deliver to the needs of members and the community.
SIM stays fresh and relevant in our lightening fast industry by understanding and satisfying member needs better and faster than any other, by a commitment to excellence, and by a dedicated and committed volunteer leaders. It's not the technology (really).
SIM's standing is clear and bright. We are a Prestigious Professional Society ? the Premier network of IT Leaders ? a Shaper of the IT Industry ? a Source of Knowledge Capital ? as well as the Voice of IT Leadership.
From the start, the Fairfield / Westchester SIM networking has been exceptional. The events and programs have been top-notch. As members joined in greater numbers than envisioned, we re-wrote our strategy to reflect the needs and capabilities of a 'large' SIM chapter.
Teams are moving forward quickly on six strategic programs for the Chapter:
1. Build Membership for Growth and Mix - build a membership of leaders in the profession with broad, diverse experiences.
2. Develop and Deliver Diverse Programs - strengthen the highly successful member events, while extending SIM activities to support segments of our membership.
3. Expand our Reach and Influence - share the knowledge, experience, and success with stakeholders in our business, academic and governmental communities, and the press.
4. Inform, Educate and Communicate - strengthen member knowledge and information sharing across the Chapter
5. Develop Leaders - aid, influence and help shape career aspirations of members and promising leaders.
6. Maximize Complementary Relationships - liaise with organizations in our region to bring value to our members and our communities.
As we have shaped the Fairfield / Westchester SIM Chapter, we have used good ideas from chapters across the country so this Chapter can be the 'club' that you should be proud to join.
