Chart Your Course: Sourcing the Global Workforce
Tuesday, May 24, 2005
Marquette University Alumni Memorial Union
What competencies and skills do we need to work globally? For your staff? For YOU?
What jobs are being created and what roles are changing for the future?
How can innovation create opportunities for insourcing?
Global sourcing has shaken the software development and product engineering process demanding new skills for analysts and project managers. Changes in the way businesses develop systems invites innovation and challenges managers and their employees to respond. The forum will provide expert speakers on IT human resource topics such as skills for handling virtual teams, vendor management, legal and regulatory issues, public relations, retraining, the educational pipeline, and more. We intend to help participants determine client firms’ staff transitions while engaging global providers and vendor firms’ staff ability to deliver global sourcing. The focus is on people, productivity, retention, job creation, and growth. The format promotes participants actively engaging the experts.
