Steve Pickett is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Penske Corporation, a closely-held diversified transportation services company whose subsidiaries operate in a variety of segments including retail automotive, truck leasing, transportation logistics, transportation component manufacturing, and high performance racing. Penske Corporation’s businesses generate annual revenues of approximately $17 billion and employ 37,000 people at over 1,700 locations worldwide. Prior to joining Penske Corporation, Mr. Pickett spent many years in the automobile industry with OEMs on two continents (American Motors, Volkswagen), and automotive suppliers in North America. Mr. Pickett holds an MBA from the Advanced Management Program at Michigan State University. He currently serves on the technical advisory committees for two large universities in Michigan. He has been a member of SIM for many years and represents Penske on the Advanced Practices Council ®. He has served on the SIM International Executive Board as Vice President of Enterprise Programs, President Elect and is currently SIM President.
