Andy Wihtol is a strong proponent of strengthening the "Supply Chain of IT leaders" in North America. He is passionate about the fact that the North American industrial complex’s ability to remain competitive on the global playing field will, to an ever increasing extent, be incumbent on IT leaders being much more “business-innovative” and capable of “connecting-with-and-influencing” their peers and leader to optimize their employer’s competitive position through business process and technological improvements. He has been President and owner of a boutique retained executive search firm emphasizing senior level IT recruiting for eighteen years.  Prior career positions include IT Director, CFO, Marketing Director and a two year posting in Jakarta Indonesia as controller and IT leader. Past employers include Intel, Tektronix, Fairchild Semiconductor, Continental Can Company, and Teledyne.  He is a graduate of Purdue University. Past volunteer roles include Board Member of: Purdue University’s Krannert Business School Alumni Board, Oregon Museum of Science & Industry, and Oregon's Boy Scouts of America.  Andy has been a member of the SIM Portland, Oregon Chapter for more than ten years.  He has served as SIM – Portland Chapter board member for over six years including terms as Membership Director, Programs Director, and VP - President-elect and Chapter President for two years in each role. Andy was a member of the national SIM nominating committee for two years, and served as VP for Membership in 2005, 2006 & 2007.
