The objectives of the SIM Information Technology Procurement Working Group are as follows:
To create a forum to share concerns, strategy and exchange information on managing IT procurement
To provide a vehicle for improving IT acquisition management and execution.
To provide a vehicle to enhance the competitiveness of high tech consumers through informed procurement management and by influencing legislation affecting acquisitions.
To foster collaboration between the different professions participating in the IT procurement process.
