Every year SIM Central CT tries to give some back to the community, this includes:

  • Scholarships for future IT leaders
  • Donations to High School IT programs
  • Programs at local universities to prepare graduates for the IT world they are about to enter

Thanks to the profits from our golf tournament SIM Central CT was able to continue providing support for the next generation of IT leaders. During the CIO Forum, two students were awarded a $1000 for school supplies and $1500/year scholarships that are renewable as long as they are in good standing and in the IT field. The students were from Pathways to Technology Magnet School in Windsor and Print Technical High School in Hartford.

Additionally we are very proud to announce that an announcement will soon be made for 2009 for a a donation to an IT program at a local High School. Last years donation of $10,000 went to the IST program at Prince Technical High School in Hartford CT. The donation is designated for the sole use by the IST program and has provided much needed equipment and software.
