Governance

The Capital Area Chapter (CAC) of The Society for Information Management is a "by-invitation" federation of senior information managers experienced in both information systems and general management. These professionals represent a range of organizations, which include general business, Federal and State Governments and academic institutions. The CAC SIM is a chartered chapter and is affiliated with SIM International.

The board is comprised of volunteer members of the SIM Capital Area Chapter. Each member is welcome to particpate in the board. The current process is that members express interest to an existing board member, and the next year board slate is drafted in November. It goes out to our membership for review/comment and assuming no issues, the board is elected for the following year. The charter oulines the positions on the board.
