Formed in October 2006 the SIM Enterprise Architecture Working Group is a collection of EA practitioners, academics, and thought leaders from nearly 50 industry, government, and academic organizations dedicated to understanding and improving EA practices, and helping IT professionals and their organizations capitalize on the opportunities of EA.

Led by Leon Kappelman, Professor of IS & Director Emeritus, IS Research Center at the University of North Texas, the EA Working Group meets face-to-face two to three times a year and is dedicated to the support, promotion, and achievement of the Enterprise Architecture profession.

2009 has been an extremely good year for the group as they are publishing their first book this Fall (2009) entitled, 'The SIM Guide to Enterprise Architecture: Creating the Information Age Enterprise'. For more information regarding the EA Working Group visit their website at eawg.simnet.org.
